　　1.紫外線清洗劑產生刺激性氣味


　　UV清洗劑是由高沸點的醚、酯類、醇類等溶劑組成，屬於有機揮發性物質。在UV印刷前，如果在印刷後立即使用UV清洗劑清洗設備，UV清洗劑會與UV油墨混合，將其留在印刷材料的錶面，然後產生刺激性氣味。當紫外線清洗劑的組成不同時，產生的刺激性氣味也有很大的不同。


　　2、UV油墨本身產生刺激性氣味


　　UV油墨的刺激性主要來自兩個方面：一是UV油墨的原料在一定條件下會緩慢釋放刺激性氣味；二是UV油墨固化後，引發劑、樹脂等原料會產生醛、硫等刺激性氣體。目前，UV油墨的刺激性氣味主要來自UV油墨固化前後釋放的揮發性物質。


　　如果部分單體或樹脂反應不完全，剩餘的未反應的"丙烯酸"組分，會產生刺激性酸味，這種情況大多發生在國內原料中。當單體分子量較低，沸點較低時，可在室溫下揮發異味，特別是單功能單體，如IBOA。如果UV油墨中使用的單體和樹脂質量好，沒有異味問題，那麽引發劑可能是UV油墨最大的刺激性氣味源。


　　3.紫外線固化裝置工作時產生臭氧


　　紫外光固化裝置產生的紫外線波長範圍為200~425 nm，其中275 nm以下的短波紫外線很容易產生臭氧與空氣中的氧氣接觸，這是產生刺激性氣味的主要來源。這些臭氧往往不能自行分解，不僅漂浮在空氣中，而且還停留在印刷品錶面。


　　4.不同底物產生的刺激性氣味


　　目前，UV印刷的基板主要包括紙、金銀紙板、合成紙和PVC、PP、PET等薄膜。當溫度明顯高於室溫時，再加上強烈的紫外線照射，印刷品就會分解成復雜的化學物質，產生輕微的刺激性氣味。大量的印刷品堆積在一起會導致熱太遲而不能散發，這反過來又會導致大量的刺激性氣味留在印刷材料的內部。
