UV光源：UV柔印每一個色組都需配備紫外光源。不同顏色的UV柔印油墨吸收紫外線的能力不同，例如，黃和品紅色吸收能力較低，容易固化乾燥，而藍色和黑色吸收紫外線能力強，不易乾燥，可以根據不同顏色分配UV燈的功率來合理安排印刷色序，以保證各色UV油墨的合理乾燥，同時也可節省能源。要註意UV光源老化，及時更換紫外燈管，防止固化不徹底，造成粘連。紫外燈管一般壽命為1000h，頻繁啟動會明顯縮短燈管壽命。

UV印刷

　　網紋輥：使用UV柔印油墨時，網紋傳墨輥的網線角度最好在30°或60°。以下為幾種常用陶瓷網紋輥：200線 9.5~11.0BCM網紋輥，可印不透明的實地圖案；360線 4.5~6.5BCM網紋輥，可印實地和線條圖案；550線 3.0BCM網紋輥，可印連續調圖像產品；650線 2.5BCM網紋輥，可印連續調圖像產品；800線 2.0BCM網紋輥，可印精細連續調圖像產品。


　　橡膠輥：膠輥必須能抗紫外油墨通常使用的橡膠輥一般由EPDM橡膠（三元乙丙橡膠）或硅橡膠製成。


　　版材：雖然目前使用的柔印感光版材基本上都可以用於UV柔印油墨，但最好還是選用紫外油墨性比較好的版材。例如杜邦的UVP—67型版材等。


　　油墨黏度：UV柔印油墨的使用黏度略大於水基墨或溶劑型柔印墨，而且範圍比較寬，可以在200~1000CPS範圍內使用。


　　存儲：UV柔印油墨應嚴格避光、避熱存儲。存儲溫度應控制在5~30℃，儲存保質期一般為半年。


　　助劑：UV柔印油墨常用的助劑主要有三種，UV活性稀釋劑、UV固化促進劑、UV油墨清洗劑。


　　安全防護：目前主要防範的有兩點，一是紫外輻射光源對人體的危害；二是UV油墨對人體的危害。前者需要用不透光材料將光源屏蔽密封並加強通風排放處理，後者應帶手套操作，防止UV油墨直接和皮膚接觸，如UV油墨濺到皮膚上，應先進行乾擦，然後及時用肥皂和水清洗。
