　　親水性由強到弱依次為：鉀、鈣、鈉、鎂、鋁、鋅、鉻、鐵、鎳、錫、鉛等。

　　膠印油墨一般採用耐水性好、色彩鮮艷、透明度高、飽和度好、純度好的油墨。石油是一種非極性物質，在常規條件下不與水相溶.世界上沒有什麽是純的、單一的物質，也不是墨水的拒水劑.從油的分子結構來看，油分子中的各種脂肪主要由兩部分組成：一是長的烴鏈，具有親水性和親脂性，稱為拒水基團；二是具有拒油親水性的極小部分，稱為親水性基團。這兩個基團相互關聯，相互矛盾，具有完全相反性質的基團存在於一個分子中。前者是非極性的疏水親脂排斥基團，後者是具有極性的拒油親水性基團。

　　換句話說，石油具有二重性，不僅是非極性的，而且還有極性的成分，不僅有油-水的混溶，而且還有油-水混溶的可能性。但是，由於親水驅油劑的極性羧基在整個油分子中的數量很少，所以它們只在油分子中處於從屬地位，而非極性親水性親脂基團占絕對多數，在室溫和壓力下，它占整個油分子的絕對多數，因此油與油和水是不相容的。通過以上的分析和討論，可以看出膠印不可能使油墨完全不乳化。關鍵是要正確掌握它，實現油墨平衡。
