印刷工廠的膠印機的壓印滾筒由軸頸、滾枕、滾筒體構成,滾筒體是三個滾筒中最大的,滾筒體直徑大於滾枕直徑,在滾筒空擋部分裝有叼牙機構(也有倍徑滾筒,2倍或3倍)。壓印滾筒作用是承托印刷紙張使之獲得壓力,印刷時,印版上的印跡通過對橡皮滾筒轉印傳遞到壓印滾筒的紙張上。
