印刷廠該裝置工作時,溶劑(可用汽油)通過灑油管5澆灑在加油輥4上,再傳遞給清洗輥2,橡皮滾筒1通過溶劑的浸濕和滾壓,把臟物和油通過清洗輥2又傳到金屬輥3,利用刮刀6將臟油鏟下來,流入接臟油槽7而回收。當不清洗時,通過手柄將清洗輥2和加油輥4移開橡皮滾筒1,各輥的旋轉動力是依靠與橡皮滾筒的摩擦力帶動轉動的。
