畫冊印刷給到印刷廠的文件格式：Tiff格式。最早流行於 Macintosh,現在 Windows上主流的圖像應用程序都支持該格式。目前,它是 Macintosh和PC機上使用最廣泛的位圖格式,多種軟件均支持這種格式,它將3Ds、 Macintosh、 PhotoShop有機地結合在起,這種格式支持RGB、CMYK、Labindexed Color、位圖和灰度顏色模式。

TIFF格式的圖像記錄信息最豐富緊湊,輸出要求不高,幾乎所有的掃描儀都可以輸出TIFF格式的圖像文件。它能表現細微層次的圖像存儲的圖像質量高,但占用的存儲空間也非常大,其大小是相應GF圖像的3倍,JPEG圖像的10倍。

該格式有壓縮和非壓縮兩種形式。在 PhotoShop中,TIFF格式能夠支持24個通道,它是除 PhotoShop自身格式(即PSD和PDD)外唯一能夠存儲多個通道的文件格式。唯一的不足之處是由於TFF獨特的可變結構,盡管壓縮能減小文件大小,節省磁盤空間,但對TFF文件解壓縮非常困難,可能會造成損壞,不建議使用壓縮的TFF文件用在印刷用文件上。
