書籍裝訂形式/平裝、精裝


簡裝
也稱“平裝”,是鉛字印刷以後近現代書籍普遍採用的一種裝幀形式簡裝書內頁紙張雙面印,大紙折頁後把每個印張於書脊處戳齊,騎馬鎖線,裝上護封後,除書籍以外三邊裁齊便可成書。這種方法稱為“鎖線訂”。由於鎖線比較繁瑣,成本較高,但牢固,適合較厚或重點書籍,比如詞典。

現在大多採用先裁齊書脊然後上膠,不鎖線的方法,這種方法叫“無線膠訂”。它經濟快捷,卻不很牢固,適合較薄或普通書籍。在二三十年代到五六十年代前後,很多書籍都是用鐵絲雙訂的形式。另外,一些更薄的冊子,內頁和封面折在起直接在書脊折口穿鐵絲,稱為“騎馬訂”。但是,鐵絲容易生銹,故不宜長久保存。


精裝書籍
書籍裝幀形式之一。與平裝相對。一般用硬紙、皮革、織物、塑料等做封面,有的書脊上包布,工藝要求較高。精裝書籍在清代已經出現,是西方的舶來方法。後來西方的許多像《聖經》、《法典》等書籍,多為精裝。精裝書最大的優點是護封堅固,起保護內頁的作用,使書經久耐用。
