(1)功能要求

功能要求是書脊設計的第一要素,它主要靠文字信息來體現。顯然,書名又是要素中的主體。為了保證書名的主體作用,在進行字體設計時應該突破字體選用的隨意性,註重字體的創新設計。比如字體的組合設計,務必要使結構合理美、對比強烈、易於識別。文字的佈局不宜平均擺放,要集中主體、呼應客體增強識別信息的凝聚力,把握好讀者閱讀時視覺的舒適度
