改革開放以來,我國印刷業取得了世人矚目的成就,成功研發了具有自主知識產權的漢字信息處理和激光照排技術,生產總值以年平均兩位數的速長,據新聞出版總署統計,2004年全國各類印刷企業有94282家,比200年增加了1893家,增長率為2.05%,從業人員300多萬人,

自2001年12月我國加入世界貿易組織以來,我國印刷業也持續以年均15%的速度增長,200年印劇總產值約2600億元約占國民經濟總產值的2%,我國印刷業的發展速度很快,但是同世界發達國家相比,還有很大差距
