色彩管理包括三個步驟,即設備校準、設備特性化與色彩轉換。對數碼打樣系統實施色彩管理也要遵循這三個步驟


首先要對設備進行校正,目的在於穩定設備的工作狀態,對於打印機還要保持其輸入輸出的線性關系。數碼打樣系統在完成自身的基本校正後,打印色域與印刷色域還不能達到一致,需要通過色彩轉換引擎(PCS)的轉換將打印的色域映射到印刷的色域內,實現數碼打樣色彩同印刷色彩匹配。

首先要採集印刷工藝數據生成印刷特徵文件,同時,分析打樣系統自身的特點生成打樣系統的特徵文件,然後通過PCS完成色彩匹配。
