大比例面積的插圖情感強烈

如果插圖所占版面比例面積大,則註目程度高、感染力強、視覺遼闊,有一種身臨其境的感覺,插圖中的細節也會表現得清晰而細膩。這時可以採用出血或是跨版。跨版的插圖通向左右兩頁,能增強版面的宏偉和雙頁的整體感。需要留白邊的版式也可以把白邊最多縮至7毫米寬,這種狹窄的白邊也適用於文字部分的版心。此類大比例面積的大插圖可以搭配少量文字,更能單純地凸顯圖片豐富的視覺感染力。


中等比例插圖視覺舒適

中等比例面積的插圖,圖文並茂,疏密有致,版面清晰視覺舒適。如半頁的插圖,寬度可與版心一致,高度可不一。


小比例面積的插圖精緻而活躍

將小圖形插入字群中,使版面顯得精緻而活躍。插圖比例間的對比關系越大,視覺沖擊感和版面跳躍感越強;插圖的比例對比關系越小,版面越穩定和平和。例如可以把小插圖安排在版心的四個角上,它的兩邊與文字相接。設計時還要註意雙頁上插圖的對比與呼應,版面的均衡。
