矛盾的表現通常是將矛盾的物體或場景統一為一個新的整體。可從形象的矛盾、邏輯上的悖論、視覺風格的差異、功能上的沖突等多種意義上的矛盾概念進行形象的組合及創造般來講,其矛盾構成的視覺反差越大,矛盾概念造成的視覺沖突越強,所形成的視覺震撼越有力。

矛盾的表現通常是將矛盾的物體或場景統一為一個新的整體。可從形象的矛盾、邏輯上的悖論、視覺風格的差異、功能上的沖突等多種意義上的矛盾概念進行形象的組合及創造般來講,其矛盾構成的視覺反差越大,矛盾概念造成的視覺沖突越強,所形成的視覺震撼越有力。

把客觀世界中一切熟悉的、合理的和穩定的事物用違反的、不同的、荒誕的方式在畫面中表現出來,這種圖形稱為矛盾悖理圖形。

悖理主要有三種形式:
一種為看起來似乎是正確的論斷,但實際上卻是錯誤的:

將生活中不可能出現的事與物構置在一起,顯示出新的非邏輯的聯系,通過看似荒唐的偶然結合,顯現出物形深處的含義,它突破原物形的局限而產生新的意義。這樣的圖形雖然是矛盾的,違背常理的,但視覺上的合理性又使人們對其信服。
