食欲的產生主要是靠視覺、味覺嗅覺的綜合作用,如中國菜就以色、香、味俱佳聞名於世日本菜更以其精緻的外觀給世人留下了深刻印象。白色的盤子應放顏色鮮艷的食物,清淡的食物適合放在色彩鮮艷的盤子里。點心應選擇或淡雅或濃深或形成補色關系的盤子。用黑色碗盤裝食物,因深顏色的襯托作用而能增加食欲。
