對我們來說,同樣相等的時間,有時會感覺過得很慢,有時則感到好像一瞬間就過去了,這其中環境顏色就會對我們的判斷起一些作用


有人做過試驗,首先把1分鐘的時間作為我們的主觀記憶,再帶上藍、綠、紅三種顏色的眼鏡判斷已經過了1分鐘。因為存在著個人差異,所以在測試時間的時候,至少每色要有10人以上取其平均值。當經過1分鐘時,紅色組的判斷為經過了1分鐘,而藍色組則長6~7秒綠色組就更長了,約比紅色組長10秒


無論是誰總有對緊張、激烈生活的體驗,但一定會隨時間的推移而遺忘。對於工作緊張的人來說,最好躺在飾有柔和的綠色的病房裡休息,這樣會感到已經休息了很長時間。相反,對於無所事事的人來說,要讓他們坐在紅色或橙色椅子上休息,能感覺時間過得快一些。因此,汽車旅館或快餐的室內設備和餐具用紅色和橙色系統的色彩,可加速周轉,從而接待更多的顧客


具有“快速”感覺的色相是紅、橙、黃綠、黃色等,都是長波系中視感度較高的色,而高明度的色調,其速度感也會增加起來。在使人感到時間短的藍色中,速度感稍弱。能感到“緩慢的的色相是藍綠,但是色調是很重要的,高明度色調在感覺上較快,全色相、低明度色調幾乎都是緩慢的。
