原始社會的圖形是實用和裝飾的統一。原始器物上採用彩繪和刻畫的方式,留下了各種圖形、圖案,除了裝飾以外,大都具有記錄信息、表達當時人們對世界的認識和內心的願望的目的。由於技術條件和表現水平的限制,同時也是為了更有效地達到記錄和識別的作用,這些圖形通常運用簡約的表現方法,突出形象的特徵和表象化,從具象到抽象化,是當時圖形的重要藝術特色,如大家熟知的人和魚的合體圖形及彩陶上經常出現的旋渦紋等


階級社會的圖形特點
