註文是對正文中某一名詞、某一句、某一段文字等所加的解釋。一般會在要解釋的詞、句上用特殊的記號先作出標記,然後再在書後或篇後進行註釋,這樣不容易打斷讀者的閱讀。

註文是對正文中某一名詞、某一句、某一段文字等所加的解釋。一般會在要解釋的詞、句上用特殊的記號先作出標記,然後再在書後或篇後進行註釋,這樣不容易打斷讀者的閱讀。這個標記符號一般用高於正文的小號數字,適合註文較多的書籍:也可用小星、圓點等做標記,適合只有兩個註文的,第一個註文用一個小星或圓點表示,第二個註文用兩個小星或圓點表示,以此類推


註文的字號應比正文字號小一號或兩號,行距也應相對縮小。註文必須放在版心以內,可以用一空行或加一條細線與正文隔開


根據註文的位置,可分為夾註、腳註、邊註和後註


夾註是指註文夾排在正文中間,緊接著被解釋的正文後面。適合註文字數很少的情況,用與正文字相同的字號,前後加排括號或破折號直接進行解釋


腳註是把本頁的註文集中放在正文下方的位置,按先後順序分條排列。這種腳註和正文在同一頁上,既保持了版面的完整,又便於讀者檢閱,是一種較合理的方式


邊註是從畫冊中圖片的註文形式發展來的,一般用於畫冊圖片的編號和簡短的註釋。它的位置在外白邊處,與正文有一定的間隔


後註是把書籍中所有的註文用連續性的數字標出,集中順序在正文的後面進行註釋,稱書後註。另外還有篇後註,就是把註釋放在一個篇章的後面
