常用的外包裝箱材料有:瓦楞紙箱、塑料箱、蜂窩紙箱等。其作為產品運輸過程中最重要的“保護層”,直接關繫到產品運輸包裝設計的成敗。不同的外包裝箱材料的優缺點各不相同,以汽車發動機的外包裝箱為例般發動機常採用塑料包裝箱做外包裝箱,內部加鐵料架支撐固定。

常用的外包裝箱材料有:瓦楞紙箱、塑料箱、蜂窩紙箱等。其作為產品運輸過程中最重要的“保護層”,直接關繫到產品運輸包裝設計的成敗。不同的外包裝箱材料的優缺點各不相同,以汽車發動機的外包裝箱為例般發動機常採用塑料包裝箱做外包裝箱,內部加鐵料架支撐固定。

該包裝的特點是安全性好、兼容性好、可周轉使用,但是包裝材料成本高、周轉期長、回運成本高,導致發動機生產廠商常需要投入大量包裝資金。蜂窩紙板強度高、緩沖性能好、質輕、節省材料,是目前優選的代木、代塑、代重型瓦楞紙板的緩沖包裝材料,不少設計者考慮採用蜂窩紙板箱替代汽車發動機常使用的塑料包裝箱,但是發動機種類多、重量大、價值高,對於蜂窩紙箱的要求也格外嚴格,加工復雜,每種發動機都需要設計專用的蜂窩紙箱來匹配使用,導致蜂窩紙箱設計成本投入也比較大。而且,由於蜂窩紙板本身防潮性能差,受水、機油等影響大,也會對強度造定影響。

究竟用哪種材料進行包裝?這需要對產品運輸環境、周轉期、裝卸操作條件等進行分析,包括運輸方式、溫濕度環境、運輸時間、倉儲時間、運輸貨櫃的高度、存放貨物的倉庫和貨架高度等,然後通過準確的定位和有效的設計,選擇一個既安全又節約成本的方案。也可以選擇幾種比較優秀的方案,然後通過一些模擬實驗,選擇出最優方案,確保設的可靠性。
