此種版材由聚酯片（或金屬）、底基、導電層（用金屬作底基時不用導電層）以及KC導體硫化鎘六面品體組成。

    印刷中的硫化鍋型KC微晶版

在無機光導體中，最引人註目的是由美國 Coulter- stork公司研製的KC微晶版。

這是由於它具有接近銀鹽感光速度的感光特性此種版材由聚酯片（或金屬）、底基、導電層（用金屬作底基時不用導電層）以及KC導體硫化鎘六面品體組成。

KC微晶版製版工藝與通常靜電製版類同。KC微晶版的特點為：

①高感光度。KC微晶版所需的曝光能量為1.0×10/cm3，相當於同樣厚度的硬或氧化鋅塗層感光度的100倍，是重氮感光材料或光聚合物感光材料的1000倍

②當KC版錶面充以30-40V的低電位時，材料具有全色感光性。

③高解像力。塗層晶體密度每平方毫米內可達百萬個以上，而每一個晶體就是一個圖像載體，因此解析度極高，可達10000線/毫米。

④高耐印力。可達25萬印以上。

⑤保存期長。由於KC感光塗層由純無機材料構成，遵循互易規律，因此塗層內無光散射、無光疲勞。
