通過高壓靜電場作用，把色粉圖像轉印到承印物上，最後經過熱熔固著，得到圖像靜電印刷由於不使用液體油墨，既衛生又安全。

          靜電印刷平印與凹印

（1）靜電平印

在捲簡薄金屬板上，用絕緣油墨印劇圖文後，從電極下通過使其帶上電荷，然後微上帶異性電荷的色粉，在靜電引力的作用下。

色粉附著於圖文上，而金屬板與地線相接不帶電空白部位的色粉在重力作用下而散落，圖文部分附著的色粉與承印物接觸時。

再通過高壓靜電場作用，把色粉圖像轉印到承印物上，最後經過熱熔固著，得到圖像靜電印刷由於不使用液體油墨，既衛生又安全。

也不需要乾燥時間，因為需要熱熔固若，所以在固著前要註意防止圖像的位移。

（2）靜電凹印

在回印機上配備的靜電吸墨裝置，在壓印滾筒和印版滾筒之間以10003000電壓充電，而印版滾筒接地，這樣，印版滾筒與壓印滾筒之間便形成了電場。

利用靜電吸引原理油願被吸向紙面，從而完成了像普通凹印那樣較大壓力的印刷這種裝置可消除凹印網點損失或出現斑點的現象。

對粗質紙尤為顯著，由於是無壓印刷，故曲面、纖維面、軟面、高溫面均可印刷。並可用粉質油墨代替流動性液體油墨印刷。
