柔性印版在印刷過程中易發生變形,導致印刷品的圖文有較大的變形量。不同字體的筆畫結構不同,因此不便統一設定字體和字號但在反白文字的設計時一定要慎重使用宋體,因為宋體的橫線和豎線的粗細相差太大,尤其是橫線筆畫較細,否則在印刷時容易出現糊版的現象。過於細小的文字筆畫要適當加粗。

同時柔性版在印刷過程中產生的變形也會導致過細的線條發生變化,因此對於寬幅的柔印機而言,最細的線條寬度不小於0.17mm窄幅的柔印機最細的線條寬度不小於0.08mm。而對於孤立的線條可以適當加寬。
