常用書刊印刷內文與封面用紙種類

一般教科書、雜志及圖書的內文採用52g/m2凸版紙,高檔書刊用70g/m2以上的銅版紙或膠版紙。凸版紙紙質較硬、挺度好強度高且含水量約為7%,其耐折度吸濕性都比較適宜,易與書封面黏合。

通常用於印刷封面及彩色插頁的是80~150g/m2的雙面膠版紙,或是80~157g/m2的銅版紙。

膠版紙挺度大、強度好、伸縮變形小。用膠版紙印刷的書封面,不僅結實,而且由於吸濕後收縮率較小,書脊背包得平整。膠版紙由於紙質硬度大,黏合時必須粘緊,黏合劑濃度要適宜,否則會引起脫膠現象,使書封面與書芯分離,裱糊時必須刮平、粘牢,使

書殼不發翹、皺褶。

銅版紙吸水性小,書封面黏合時必須粘牢,裱糊時同樣要用竹板刮平,或者用乾布在書背處,趁著膠液未乾,將書背擦拭平整,防止脫膠。
