冰花俗稱橘皮紋，是非常細小的低熔點玻璃顆粒。這種細小的玻璃顆粒，含鉛量高，有彩色和無色兩種。


彩色的色相有紅、黃、藍、綠、白等，亦可配製出中間色調。絲印冰花裝飾，素雅大方，


多用於建築裝飾和工藝美術玻璃裝飾絲印玻璃冰花裝飾是指先在玻璃表層絲印有色或無色的玻璃熔劑層（助熔劑），


然後再將冰花顆粒撒在這層玻璃熔劑層上，通過500-590℃的燒結，使玻璃錶面的溶劑層和冰花顆粒層共熔而產生浮雕效果。


如在玻璃上絲印的是有色熔劑，而撒色冰花是透明的，可以通過高溫共熔，使玻璃冰花紋樣部位的熔劑層退色，


在玻璃面上形成有色、隆起的透明浮雕紋樣。
