軟管油墨是金屬裝飾油墨的一種，它基本是由滾塗油墨及軟管彩色油墨配套組成。

軟管印刷對油墨質量的要求主要包括：流平性、光澤性好，彩色油墨色彩鮮艷、飽和度高，有較好的附著力等。

軟管油墨分為溶劑型軟管滾塗油墨，水型軟管滾塗油墨、軟管彩色油墨、亮光膠印油墨、樹脂膠印油墨、金屬印刷油墨、紫外光光固油墨等。

目前常用的油墨基本上有溶劑型軟管滾塗油墨及軟管彩色油墨兩大類。軟管滾塗油墨軟管滾塗油墨主要由顏料、樹脂、溶劑、調色劑、增白劑構成，

多油醇酸樹脂及三聚氰胺樹脂配製，有附著力強、乾燥迅速，結膜平滑、光澤強的特點顏料半是採用短油度龍麻要有良好的耐光性、耐溶劑性、耐熱性及遮蓋能力。

耐溶劑性差的油墨會使印品出現顏料改變及墨膜粉化脫落現象。軟管油墨需要烘烤乾燥，因此要求顏料要有較好的耐熱性。還要求顏料對軟管要有足夠的遮蓋性。

樹脂應具有合適的印刷適性，色相純正，不泛黃。由於醇酸樹脂與氨基樹脂的配合能獲得良好的光澤、乾性與牢度。

因此，應該選用短油度菱麻油改性醇酸樹脂，其泛黃性小不結皮，本身顏色淺，與淺色氨基樹脂配合使用時，在120℃時烘烤，乾燥迅速，膜具有好的流平性，光澤度，色澤度。
