金屬印刷彩色油墨也和膠印油墨一樣，要具備優良的平版印劇適性，油墨溫度變化要穩黏度變化要小。

金屬印刷彩色油墨的連結料多用松香改性酚醛樹脂油和乾性或半乾性油改性的醇酸樹脂的混合物。前者硬度高，後者對顏料潤濕性能好，流動性好，對金屬附著力和加工性好。

也可用脫水蓖麻油醇酸樹脂為連結料，其附著力、柔韌性、抗沖擊性能都比較理想。選擇金屬印刷油墨顏料時，一定要經過耐熱、耐溶劑以及耐蒸汽性的試驗。

顏料的耐熱性和耐蒸汽性是兩個不同的性質，有的顏料耐熱性很好，但耐蒸汽能力很差，因此必須慎重選擇。表4-4為金屬印刷彩色墨常用顏料的特性。

此外，金屬印刷彩色油墨內也可添加一部分填充料以調節墨性和控制油墨的流動度如果連結料中使用部分膠質油，油具備適宜的流動性和彈性，

可使印刷網點清晰，立感強。添加少量鉛、鈷、錳類乾燥劑，可降低烘烤溫度，縮短乾燥時間。對於乾燥較快的油墨，為了防止在印刷機上乾燥結皮，

可適當添加乾燥抑制劑，使常溫乾燥大為延緩，又不影響烘烤固化的溫度。金屬印刷彩色油墨的配方。

水基凹版鋁油墨主要由成膜物質、水溶性自交聯乳液、著色劑、添加劑和助溶劑組。
