精裝畫冊書芯書背的形狀

書芯書背的形狀分為圓背和方背(或稱平背)兩種,圓背又分為圓背有脊、圓背無脊兩種。

書芯的上下兩頁與書背的連接處稱為書芯書脊。書脊分為真脊和假脊。真脊是利用書背上下兩邊變形做出的凸台,凸台高出書芯平面


方背書芯是指書芯的書背平直方正,與平裝書刊的書背基本相似。由於書芯折疊及鎖線的原因,書背脊處的高度要高於書芯,書籍的帖數越多差別也越大,所以方背的精裝書不宜太厚,一般適用於20mm以內的書芯


圓背書芯背部呈圓弧形,前後書帖在折疊處位置略有錯開,書背分佈在一個弧面上,其厚度得到平衡,所以較厚的圖書採用圓形書芯較好


圓背無脊書芯,又稱圓背假脊。書背與書芯的厚度相同,堅實挺括，一般常與軟質書殼或塑料壓制而成的書殼相配套


圓背有脊書芯,又稱圓背真脊書芯。書脊高起有脊壟,堅硬挺實,裝上書殼後有明顯的書槽,翻閱方便,目前我國的精裝書籍多採用這種加工形式書殼形式。
