騎馬訂工藝是書刊裝訂形式之一,因訂書時要跨騎在訂書架上而得名,騎馬訂的書帖採用套帖配頁,配帖時,將折好的書帖從中間一帖開始,依次搭在訂書機工作台的三角形支架上,最後將封面套在最上面。訂書時,用鐵絲從書刊的書脊折縫外面穿進裡面,並被彎腳訂本,通過三面裁切即成為可供閱讀的書刊。

騎馬訂是一種較簡單的訂書方法,工藝流程短,出書速度快;用鐵絲穿訂,用料少成本低;書本容易開合,翻閱方便,但在使用過程中封面易從鐵絲訂連處脫落,不易保存。所以,騎馬訂裝訂方法常用於裝訂保存時間比較短的雜志、期刊和小冊子之類的書籍。又因騎馬訂採用套帖法,產品的厚度受到一定限制,一般最多只能裝訂100頁左右的。
