噴繪是平面設計中經常使用的表現手段,也是圖形創意的表現手段由於噴繪具有筆觸均勻、重接良好、過渡變化自然等特點,繪制出來的圖形效果真實而又神秘。它的風格特點在繪畫與攝影之間,既具有繪畫的概括誇張、生動的表現,又具有攝影的真實感與空間感。噴繪同樣具備繪畫的人性特徵,它是人通過手進行的思想表達,不乏人情味。噴繪又具備理性冷靜的特徵,它的製作序嚴謹,秩序性強。

噴繪所使用的材料有噴筆、水彩或水粉丙烯等。製作時用鉛筆畫好圖形形象輪廓,用透明塑料片依照形象輪廓剪刻出其圖形來。這時塑料片產生了正負兩形,再用其他的塑料片依照形象內部小的造型和明暗變化剪刻它們的形狀。這些塑料片作為遮擋形象的輪廓、內部結構、明暗等形狀,根據擋後所空出的圖形,用噴筆進行噴繪製作,反復進行直到達到滿意為止。
