畫對於每個人都不陌生,但它在平面設計的圖形中和純藝術性繪畫是有一定區別的,純藝術性繪畫是通過視覺化的形象傳達文化和商業活動的信息,所以兩者的要求是有一定區別的。圖形繪畫從形式上講也和繪畫樣,多種多樣並且吸收了純繪畫的各種流派風格,又建立了自己的圖形形式。根據設計需要設定圖形的繪畫形式,表現形式有超寫實主義的,模仿自然形態的外形、肌理,對細節進行誇張,使物體細節在超越正常視覺下觀看好像通過放大鏡或顯微鏡看到的物象;還有照相寫實主義,完全對著自然形模仿,當然也有概括、取捨、誇張,繪制的效果和照片相似,具有逼真的視覺藝術效果,與照片不同的是其具有主動性和人的情緒的把握,比自然形態的形象更完美、更理想

繪畫性圖形所用的繪畫材料可根據需要選擇,可以是油彩、水粉、水彩丙烯、鉛筆、鋼筆,等等,材料可以單獨使用也可以綜合使用。
