犧版是將拼貼好的整頁圖文底片或是圖文同時輸出的底片與印刷片材密合曝光,使圖文轉移到印版上的製版工藝。


曬版一般在曬版機上完成。大中型書刊印刷廠多採用鋁基PS版。


現在使用CTP印版的比例有了很大的提高,在使用CTP工藝時,是直接把組成大版的文件直接輸出到直接製版機(CTP)上輸出可供印刷的印版,因此排除了曬版的工序。


在直接製版印刷機上,可以把RP後的文件輸出到印刷機上,在印刷機上固定於印版滾筒的特殊無水膠印版上掃描製版,掃描完畢就可以印刷了
