新媒體的常見信息傳遞方式有廣播、組播、點播、P2P等。新媒體傳播與大眾傳播有著相似之處。因此,新媒體的傳播模式可以在傳統的傳播模式里得到解釋。比如通過對哈羅德·拉斯韋爾的五W模式進行修正得到的拉斯韋爾五W模式。

新媒體的常見信息傳遞方式有廣播、組播、點播、P2P等。新媒體傳播與大眾傳播有著相似之處。因此,新媒體的傳播模式可以在傳統的傳播模式里得到解釋。比如通過對哈羅德·拉斯韋爾的五W模式進行修正得到的拉斯韋爾五W模式。


在拉斯韋爾的傳播模式中,信息的傳播是單向唯一的,傳播者與接收者身份區別明顯。新媒體也遵循基本的交流模式,但是相對於拉斯韋爾的模式新媒體又有著自己的特點。在多數新媒體中,尤其是數字交互的新媒體,比如手機媒體、微博等,信息的接受者同時又是信息的發出者,兩者之間的角色融合使得信息傳播的速度大為提高。

在對拉斯韋爾模式進行修正的基礎上,可以把新媒體描述為四個環節即由信息、接受者、傳播者和媒體構成

信息是媒體傳播模式的起始,是影響接受者是否想傳播傳播者信息關鍵素,是激發傳播發生的主要前提。接受者處於第二各環節,是傳播活動發生的關鍵環節,承擔著完成信息接收和引發後繼傳播的雙重任務。傳播者為第三個環節,是信息的主動傳播源。角色轉變與融合是傳播發生的關鍵。媒體在傳播模式中貫穿始終,是信息得以傳播的重要途徑和手段,是相對於信息環節而言的激發傳播發生的客觀前提。這就是新媒體基本的傳播模式。
