印刷品墨層狀況主要是指紙張性質、油墨性能、墨層厚度、圖文面積以及印刷圖文密度等,它們對覆膜質量的影響主要是對印刷品與薄膜的黏合強度的影響。

印刷品墨層狀況主要是指紙張性質、油墨性能、墨層厚度、圖文面積以及印刷圖文密度等,它們對覆膜質量的影響主要是對印刷品與薄膜的黏合強度的影響。


當印刷品墨層較厚、圖文面積大時,這些油墨改變了紙張多孔隙的錶面特性,阻礙了黏合劑的滲透和擴散,使得印刷品與塑料薄膜很難黏合,易出現脫層、起泡等故障。

印刷墨層的厚度,除與印刷時對墨量的控制有關外,還與所採取的印刷方式有直接關系,其印刷方式不同,墨層厚度亦不同。平印的墨層厚度約為1-2pm;凸印產品墨層厚度約為2~5μm;四印產品的墨層厚度可達10μm。從覆膜這個角度出發,採用平印的印刷品是理想的,平印的印刷方式可以使墨層控制在很薄的程度上。

為使墨層控制在較薄的程度上,另一種方法就是深墨薄印即將油墨的顏色調配得略深於所要求的顏色,而在印刷時適當減薄墨層厚度,這樣不但能達到印刷的要求,同時又可滿足覆膜適性。
