目前,覆膜用黏合劑多屬熱熔型,具有一定的熱塑性。如果復合滾筒不加熱,雖然膠黏劑在常溫下也能發生交聯反應,但需要很長時間。當溶劑揮發後,黏合劑層變為固化態,整個分子能量低處於相對靜止狀態。

印刷工藝溫度對覆膜的影響

目前,覆膜用黏合劑多屬熱熔型,具有一定的熱塑性。如果復合滾筒不加熱,雖然膠黏劑在常溫下也能發生交聯反應,但需要很長時間。當溶劑揮發後,黏合劑層變為固化態,整個分子能量低處於相對靜止狀態。

此時若在低溫下以壓力硬性復合,盡管外觀看黏結無明顯差異,但是黏合劑熔融不良,不論機械結合力、物理化學結合力都低於適當溫度下的熱壓復合。因為在熱壓復合下,黏結劑層處於熔融狀態,分子運動加劇,提高了反應分子的活化能,參加成鍵的分子數量增加,使塑料薄膜、印刷品、黏合劑層界面間達到最大黏合力。

應當指出,盡管復合溫度的提高有助於黏合強度的增加,但控制範圍必須合理。溫度過高,會使薄膜收縮、變形,使產品產生皺褶、捲曲及局部起泡。操作中,復合溫度的經驗值在70~90℃之間。

操作者應該根據不同的條件,如機型、壓力、機速、印刷品錶面狀況以及不同的黏合劑和不同的塗膠量等確定具體的熱壓滾筒溫度。因為熱壓溫度同上述因素是相互制約的,機器速度快,則溫度要求高;當壓力大時,溫度可以低一些;粗糙的紙張在覆膜時應該提高溫度;較厚的黏合劑塗層需要適當提高溫度。
