Publishing and Plate Printing [Buke Printing factory]
Publication prints refer to the number of prints seen on the copyright page of a book, such as 1.125, 1.375, 1.5, 10.75, 0.875, etc. Any part smaller than 1 is collectively referred to as a zero print sheet. Plate printing or upper plate printing refers to how many times a printing machine has installed plates. The number of zero printing sheets for the installation can only be greater than the number of zero printing sheets for publication. Zero printing sheets such as 0.5, 0.125, and 0.25 are each plate mounted printing sheets, while 0.375, 0.625, and 0.75 must each be divided into two plate mounted printing sheets: 0.125+0.250.125+0.5, and 0.25+0.5. Therefore, they are two plate mounted printing sheets. 0.875 must be divided into 0.125+0.25+0.5 three plates, so it is a three plate printing sheet. The difference between these two concepts is directly related to the calculation of the printing quantity and printing frequency (number of printing units) in the printing price, especially for the pricing of printing products with a minimum quantity and below. Some publishing or printing units only include zero printed sheets in the whole when pricing, which is not in line with the standards specified in the labor price list and does not conform to the actual production situation. Assuming a book has a zero print sheet of 0.875, a print count of 1600, and single color offset printing on both sides.
a. When pricing according to the standard, 0.875 should be divided into three types: 0.5, 0.25, and 0.125. Assuming a printing fee of 10 yuan per pair and a printing fee of 70 yuan per color per pair, with a minimum of 5000 yuan, there is a printing fee of 70 yuan × 2 (color) × 3 (plate printing)=420 yuan. Printing fee of 0.5 sheets A=10 yuan × one hundred and sixty million and one thousand × 0.5 (printed sheet) × 2 (color)=160 yuan. The actual number of prints for both 0.25 and 0.125 sheets is less than 500, which is priced at 5000. Printing fee=10 yuan × fifty million and one thousand × 2 (colors) (2 times of plate printing)=200 yuan. The price of the zero print sheet of this product=420+160+200=780 yuan
b. If only the zero print sheet is included in the whole calculation, there will be a significant difference in price: 0.875 people is 1, so the printing fee is 70 yuan × 2 (color) × 1=140 yuan. Printing fee for 1 sheet=10 yuan × 16000/1000 × 1 (Stamp) × 2 (color)=320 yuan. The price of the zero print sheet of this product is 140+320=460 yuan. The difference from the standard calculation is 780-460=320 yuan.
If you want to compare calculations higher than the minimum, simply set the print count of the book to 5000, and keep the other conditions unchanged. Then there is: according to the standard pricing, the printing fee is 70 yuan/2 (color) × 3 (plate printing)=420 yuan. Printing fee for 0.5 sheet=10 yuan x 500001000 × 0.5 (printed sheet) × 2 (color)=500 yuan; Printing fee for 0.25 sheets=10 yuan × five hundred million and one thousand × 0.25 (printed sheet) × 2 (color)=250 yuan; Printing fee for 0.125 sheets=10 yuan × five million and ten × 0.125 (stamp) × 2 (color)=125 yuan. The price of the zero print sheet of this product is 420+500+250+125=1295 yuan. If only zero prints are included in the whole calculation, the price will also vary: 0.875 people is 1, so the printing fee is 70 yuan × 2 (color) × 1=140 yuan. Printing fee for 1 sheet=10 yuan × five hundred million and one thousand × 1 (Stamp) × 2 (color)=1000 yuan. The price of the zero print sheet of this product is 140+1000=1140 yuan. The difference from the standard calculation is 1295-1140=155 yuan.
Some special processes, such as printing on site, flat screen layout, or using special inks such as spot colors, gold and silver inks, anti-counterfeiting, etc., result in significant paper loss and require an appropriate increase in the number of sizes, which is greater than the standard value. Using special printing materials, such as gold and silver cardboard rice paper, special paper, etc., due to their poor printability and high losses during the printing process, it is necessary to increase the paper loading rate appropriately, especially rice paper. The loading rate may need to be calculated in percentage to be sufficient.
