The proofreading symbols used in image publications must be in accordance with the national standard GB/T147071993 "Proofreading Symbols for Image Reproduction". This standard specifies 26 types of image proofreading symbols, and practitioners should follow the regulations. When using image proofreading symbols, attention should be paid to the following issues: when modifying the image as a whole, the proofreading symbol should be drawn at the bottom of the proofreading image.
When partial modifications are required to the image, the modified parts should be circled with a pen and the proofreading symbols should be drawn in. If the space is not enough, you can draw on the blank edge of the proof and connect it with a lead wire. The leads cannot cross.
When drawing proofreading symbols, a red pen should be used, and if necessary, a pen with a color different from the proof should be used.
The standard specifies the use of uppercase regular English letters to represent commonly used colors and tones in printing. Y is yellow, M is magenta, C is cyan, and K is black; I represents the image, S represents dark tone, and H represents bright tone.
Image proofreading symbols can be combined or used together with numerical values, but when combined, they should not be too complex and have clear meanings.
