掃金是精品印刷中的一個特殊的工藝過程，所謂掃金，就是通過特殊工藝，在商品包裝或標簽印刷品上指定部位附著特種金屬粉末，來實現金屬光澤效果的工藝過程。這種技術能得到逼真的金屬質感和較好的光澤，同時圖紋精細，套印準確掃金的工藝過程其實非常簡單，將需要掃金的印張放在單色或雙色膠印機上，在需要掃金的部位用專用PS版印塗一層黏性膠，然後印張通過進紙裝置進入掃金機，掃上金粉並經拋光、揩金等即可完成
