表示某一機構某一系統的組成時,一般用系統表。這類表格有框式和連線式兩類,雖然形式不同,但所表述的內容是一致的。在設計出版物中的系統表時,應註意兩點。一是表格所表示的內容層次要分明,二是外形尺寸要美觀。在系統表中,同一層次的機構在表格上要處於並列的位置上,用框圖表示時,框的大小要致。在考慮表格外形尺寸時,既要考慮到層次關系,又要照顧到版面的緊湊。最常見的現象是某一機構過分細長,而造成版面較大的空白。這時可將這一突出過長的部分用連線的方法排入空白區內。在版面設計時,由於版面位置等原因,也可對系統表的橫豎方向進行調整。其方法也是變換閱讀的方向,但仍應保留原表所表述的內容。
